Brad Mahon, MBA, PhD, has 30 years of experience in the post-secondary sector, having found success in the classroom, the boardroom, and engaging the community. As a leader in higher education, he is a passionate advocate for providing learners with a transformative educational experience and ensuring institutions are meaningfully engaged with the communities they serve. His administrative tenures have consistently prioritized collaboration and cooperation, including establishing strategic partnerships with other educational institutions, community organizations, and industry.
Brad is a Vice-President at Assiniboine College. Previously, he was President at Great Plains College, Dean at Mount Royal University, and a member Colleges and Institutes Canada’s Board of Directors. In 2022, he received the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal in recognition of his service to the education sector. In 2025, he published the book "Leadership is Personal," which became a #1 bestseller in several of Amazon's business and leadership categories in Canada and the US.
When no one is watching, Brad still regularly sneaks off campus to moonlight as a professional guitarist. He’s a member of the Canadian Federation of Musicians Local 547 and the Royal Conservatory of Music’s College of Examiners, and has served as a judge at Canada's JUNO Awards.
